Tulip Time's spring festival is a wonderful chance to take photos, get outside, enjoy fresh air and enjoy Michigan in the spring!

Tulip Immersion Garden - Tickets are sold for 1-hour, on-the-hour time slots.

  • How Long: 1.25 hour walking tour, covering 2 miles.

Join a costumed guide for this fun and informative . See the beauty of Tulip Time while learning about the past of Holland. Enjoy an up-close visit to many sites and icons where over 500,000 tulips bloom each spring! Lots of photo opportunities with thousands of tulips including downtown Holland's tulip displays!

Tours are available daily Saturday, May 4 through Sunday, May 12, 2024 starting every 20 to 30 minutes. Get your tickets early!

Learn how to arrange flowers with Huisman Flowers’ award-winning floral designers! During this creative Tulip Time event, you can create your own beautiful floral masterpiece.

This is a fun, hands-on experience held at Huisman Flowers' local flower shop. While you are there, be sure to check out their lovely occasion themed gifts. This floral arranging class includes all the supplies you will need and lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

As you are enjoying your Dutch lunch, sit back and watch a lovely Dutch Dance Style Show as the famous Dutch Dancers of Holland, Michigan perform their iconic Dutch Klompen Dance.

Tulip Time Photo Walk: Calling All Photographers and Photography Enthusiasts!

  • When: May 6, 2024, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
  • Where: Windmill Island Gardens 
  • Tickets/Price at Tulip Time Events: $40 per person

Tulip Time is a photographer's paradise! The Tulip Time Photo Walk is a great chance for artists and photographers to gain inspiration and create photographic masterpieces.  Walk through Holland’s top tourist attractions with professional photographers during hours with limited crowds. 

Together with local photographers, you will walk Windmill Island, see the Famous DeZwaan Windmill, enjoy beautifully crafted Dutch scenes and see 40 beds of tulips. Learn from the guides on the best ways to capture the landscape and architecture of Windmill Island Gardens. 

What's Cool? All participants of the Tulip Time Photo Walk may submit one photo taken during the class to be chosen winner of the Best Picture. There will be one winner per class and their photo will be featured in Tulip Time social media posts. 

Meeting Spot: Meet at least 5 minutes prior to the beginning of class at the entrance booth in the parking lot at Windmill Island Gardens. The Tulip Time Photo Walk occurs drizzle or sun, so be prepared for all weather possibilities.  All participants must bring their own equipment.

Question: What is Tulip Time?

Answer: The Tulip Time Tulip Festival is a super popular Dutch Heritage Festival located in Holland Michigan. It's a flower lover and photographer paradise!  There are several traditional events, dances, live shows, and family-friendly activities over the course of 10 days. Many events and entertainment is free to attend.

  • Popular events include: Kinder/Middel Dutch Dance and Lessons, Carnival Midway, Tulip Time Run, Historic Walking Tours, Photography Tours, Tulip Immersion Garden, Ship Tours, Parades and so many fun things to do in Michigan!  It's one of our favorite southwest Michigan springtime events! 

Question: Where Is the 2024 Tulip Time Festival?

Answer: The 2024 Tulip Time Festival events, shows and activities happen during 10 glorious days each May in Holland Michigan. These events are held in several different venues, tourist attractions, and locations across the city and in Downtown Holland Michigan. 

Tulips can be seen for free in several public parks such as Centennial Park and Window on the Waterfront.

Accessibility - Transit and Mobility Scooters

Need mobility options during the Holland MI Tulip Festival?

Mobility Scooters: Contact Airway Oxygen at 616-224-0402 to reserve a mobility scooter.  This is the number for the Grand Rapids store and they will send the scooter(s) to the Holland Michigan Airway Oxygen store.

**When I called the store in Holland for this information, they said to reserve the scooter at least 2 weeks in advance of needing it, but I would reserve as soon as you know you are going.

MAX Express: MAX Transit, Holland's City-owned transit system, offers various ADA resources to passengers getting around Holland.
