This Great Lakes Bay city is well known for their fantastic premium outlets, stores and shopping.  It's also a great town to visit as you can win big at mini golf and wave to the lions at the Wilderness Trails Zoo!

One of our favorite Michigan outlet malls is the Birch Run Premium Outlet Mall as there are so many fantastic stores, restaurants and fun things to do in the area! I like the super easy FREE parking right in front of your favorite stores.

TIP: Drive the entire outlet when you arrive to see where all your favorite outlet stores are located and then decide where to park.   

We love the Under Armour store at Birch Run Outlets- great work out clothes for guys and girls at affordable prices!

Wilderness Trails Zoo in Birch Run, Michigan

The Wilderness Trails Zoo is open May 1-October 31 for a roaring good time!

We love this Michigan zoo as there are feed stations throughout the zoo! Feed cute animals such as goats, fish, ducks and deer.

Alpine Mountain -  Fun Things to do in Birch Run Michigan!

Address: 11873 Gera Rd, Birch Run, MI 

We love playing putt putt mini golf at Alpine Mountain Golf!  It's such a fun place to spend the afternoon on their two 18 hole putt putt golf courses, bumper boats, go karts and bank shot basketball.

There is a nice picnic area so you can pack lunches!

Birch Run Speedway and Event Center

Birch Run Speedway and Event Center-10945 Dixie Hwy, Birch Run, MI

Birch Run Speedway and Event Center (previously called the Dixie Motor Speedway) is a 4/10 mile, progressively banked, D-shaped oval short track, with an adjoining 1/3 mile as well as a Figure 8 course.

Friday, May 7, 2021 the gates open at 3 pm with warm up laps at 4 pm. The Challenges Start at 7 pm. See late models, pure stock trucks and person cars on the track!  $10 Pit Passes and Free Grandstand Admission.  Concessions will be open for drinks and snacks.

Where to Stay in Birch Run (Best Hotels)

Our top pick: The cool thing about the Country Inn and Suites in Birch Run is that it is so close to the Birch Run Outlets that you can simply walk there! You don't even have to cross a busy street! It's walking distance to Tony's I-75 restaurant too! Plus it's so quaint and nicely appointed. 

The Hampton Inn in Birch Run is also a great choice as it is centrally located and well appointed. We like their wide variety of room options to fit your needs.

Or, the Holiday Inn Express in Birch Run is very easy to get to off Main Street and is close to all the action: Restaurants, events, the outlet mall and the Birch Run Speedway.  It has a great pool, snack shop and breakfast in the morning.

So guys, the menu at Tony's I-75 restaurant is HUGE! We recommend coming in very hungry as the food portions are fit for a king!  There's steaks, sandwiches, burritos, salads, soups, sub sandwiches and lots of delectable desserts. 

Oh, and Tony isn't afraid of bacon...not one (bacon) bit.

"Home of Tony's Original One Pound BLT," this mountain of a sandwich isn't stacked this high for the faint of heart or tiny stomach (vegans, close your eyes!).

So if you are feeling up to the challenge, pop a button on your britches and bravely order this one pound crispy bacon with lettuce, mayonnaise and tomato sandwich!

  • I ordered the colossal turkey club sandwich as I'm a huge turkey fan and well, I really wanted to try their famous bacon.


I mean seriously, look at the size of this sandwich!!  I was so giddy when it was delivered and we gobbled it down (did you catch my turkey reference?) in minutes!



We also had to try the steak and onion sub at Tony's I-75 restaurant that was made with shaved ribeye steak, sautéed onions and topped with swiss cheese. YUMMY!  Oh, and we loved the pickle!

I bet you're salivating, aren't you!



Oh, and save room for dessert!  You will absolutely swoon with the site of this HUGE strawberry sundae!  (That's a dinner plate, folks!)  Would you believe we ate almost all of it!?
