Are you searching for local honey near you?  Honey makes such an incredible gift as it's so useful, you can buy local and it has wonderful health benefits.

Chris and I always have at least one jar of local honey in our pantry at all times as we it use in coffee, pancake mix, marinades, baked goods and whenever someone is coughing or has a sore throat!

We are always adding to our honey page when we find new sources.

Map of Where to Pick Up Local Michigan Honey

Want a Honeybee Experience? Check out Bees in the D!

I had an absolutely incredible honeybee hive experience with Bees in the D (from Detroit). They did a special presentation at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill in Armada Mi during Blake's Lavender Festival.  Bees in the D have several hives in the cherry orchard, how beautiful, right?!  We learned all about the hives and the queen. Did you know there are only about 5 drones (males) in each hive and the queen lives about 5 years?  If the queen isn't thriving, the hive isn't either.

Bees in the D has several honeybee/honey related activities and volunteer experiences throughout the year.
