Address: 11721 Gera Rd, Birch Run, MI 48415

The Wilderness Trails Zoo is open May 1-October 31 for a roaring good time!

We love this Michigan zoo as you can get up close to the animals!  You can feed adorable running baby goats and hear the lions roar all the way across the zoo!

There are lots of feed stations throughout the zoo to feed animals such as goats, fish, peccaries, and deer.  These baby goats are only a few hours old and they were already up and running! Aren't they adorable?!

Super Cute Wilderness Trails Zoo Video!

What's Cool?  The lions were roaring so loud it echoed throughout the zoo!  What a cool experience!

You can see 50 different species including lions, zebras, alpaca (like the cutie above), buffalo, lemurs, capybara and camels. So many fun things to do and see.

Love Zoos and Aquariums!? Check These Out!

Michigan is packed with fun zoos and aquariums to visit with your kids this year! Check it out!

There are lovely flowers planted all over the zoo, making it a great place to take photos!

Above is the reptile area which mimics an old timey downtown.

There are lots of antiques and neat things to photograph in the retile "city" so be sure to check it out!

Look! You can get a hot bath for $1 and a meal for 50 cents at the Horton Hotel!  However, you will have to share your bath with cold blooded snakes and every slithery reptile you can imagine!  Yikes!!

My absolute favorite part of the zoo is feeding the parakeets!  They are so chirpy and excited to eat the seed on the sticks. It's so much fun!

Just be sure to shuffle your feet and look down as you walk because there are tons of birds on the ground pecking at the fallen seed.  There is a small fee to feed the colorful parakeets.

Plus, there is a playground for the kids to wear off any extra energy!  You can bring lunches to enjoy on picnic tables under tall shade trees.
