Waverly Stone - 20 West 8th Street, Downtown Holland, Michigan. They also have a lovely sidewalk patio for dining outdoors to enjoy the lovely weather.

Vitale's Pizza of Zeeland - 59 W Washington Ave, Zeeland, MI 49464. Serving pizzas, subs, salads, sandwiches and beer for 50 years!

Crust 54 - 45 E 8th St, Holland, MI 49423. Serving authentic, Chicago-style deep dish pizza and our personal favorite, stone-fired thin crust pizza! Try their famous Godfather pizza or the Too Much Pepperoni pizza!! Delicious. Gluten free and vegetarian friendly!

Tulip Time Restaurants: Where to Eat

Headed to Tulip Time this May? Most of the restaurants on our map above are near the festivities and activities!

Tulip Time is a very popular Dutch heritage festival that happens each May in Holland Michigan.  Learn more about Holland's Tulip Time Festival

When visiting Nelis' Dutch Village during Tulip Time, you can enjoy the village and also eat there!  Grab food at the Hungry Dutchman Cafe or the Thirsty Dutchman Pub. 

Windmill Island Gardens has limited options during Holland Tulip Time. You can get snacks from their gift shop and there is a food wagon throughout the week.


Tulip Time Food Trucks

There will be several food trucks in front of the Holland Civic Center, 150 W. Eighth St., and spots throughout the festival, including Window on the Waterfront.

There are also several Tulip Time food trucks at Kollen Park, especially right before the fireworks!


What we like about it

We love that there are so many great restaurants in Holland Michigan! From meat lovers to vegetarian friendly to outside patio fine dining, we've got it! We listed our top recommendations above but I'm sure there are several that we missed...but that's the fun part! We love finding new restaurants each time we explore the Holland Michigan area!

Fun Things to Do Nearby

  • Grand Rapids is very close to Holland. There's tons of museums, restaurants, and fun things to do. Grab our guide!
  • South Haven's lighthouse, beach and downtown areas make for one heck of a day.  
  • Grand Haven is a great place to visit. Chris and I love seeing the Pere Marquette 1223 train, wander the scenic river walk, and explore the quaint downtown region. The Coast Guard Festival is also a blast in the summer!
  • St. Joseph (my hometown) is one of my favorite places.  Silver Beach, the bluff, downtown shopping, and riding the nostalgic carousel are my favorite things!

When to Go

Holland Michigan is a lovely town to visit throughout the year!  The town is super populated with tourists and visitors in the spring and summer. Tulip Time is also a huge draw to this southwest Michigan town.

Holland Michigan is located just west of Grand Rapids and north of Saugatuck.

What To Budget

Budgeting is tricky when trying to suggest it for someone else. It all depends on if you order drinks, appetizers, where you eat and if you order dessert.

Many times Chris and I share a meal, especially when traveling. That way we don't waste food or overeat. Then we can order dessert! ;) As for budgeting, I'd plan on $25 per person per meal...again, there are so many variables!
