2024 St Joseph Fireworks Display | Schedule 4th of July Weekend on Silver Beach in Southwest Michigan | Parking, Map, Things to Do

I grew up in St Joseph and enjoyed these southwest Michigan fireworks every single year from when I was a small child until I was at least 20 years old!  St. Joseph fireworks are some of the best in Michigan!

Obviously, St Joseph is my favorite Michigan beach town. SO, I HIGHLY recommend arriving at St. Joe's Silver Beach early in the day so you can secure a coveted parking spot and take the whole day to enjoy the beach and downtown areas. There is a fee for parking.

When is the St Joseph Michigan Fireworks?

Wednesday, July 3, 2024 - 10:15pm

St Joseph Michigan fireworks last about 22 minutes. These incredible Independence Day fireworks launch from the south pier at dusk so Chris and I highly recommend watching them from Silver Beach.

Portions of Silver Beach and Tiscornia Beach, as well as the North and South Piers, will be closed for safety.

However, there is PLENTY of space on the beach to sit and watch the show. It's best to bring blankets and chairs for optimal comfort.

Boaters: Note that the Blossomland Bridge and Bicentennial Bridge will not open for boats needing clearance until after the post-fireworks road traffic has cleared. So be sure to plan accordingly!

Where to Park for the St Joseph Fireworks

Let me tell you, parking is a...bear.

If you arrive early enough in the day you might be able to score parking at Silver Beach.

If not, try Lions Park Beach nearby.  You can watch the fireworks from there too but it will be a bit further away as they go off from the Silver Beach Pier.

Several years in a row we parked up on the bluff, near the Krasl Art Center and the Boulevard Inn and Bistro (great hotel to book, by the way).  Then you just walk down the stairs above Silver Beach Pizza to go to the beach and watch the St Joseph fireworks display.

Another idea is to go over to Tiscornia Park.  There's quite a bit of parking there but again, it's gonna be nuts busy.  Cars will line the residential streets of St. Joe for blocks.

Accordingly...I recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bring water and snacks!  Maybe some TP...just saying
