Historical Ghost Lantern Tours in Traverse City (Haunted Traverse Tours)

When: Select Days Through October 2026

Where: Haunted Attraction & TC Ghost Tours, 314 E Front St, Traverse City, MI 49686. 

Where to Meet: Higher Self Bookstore, 313 E. Front St, Traverse City.

The Downtown Traverse City Ghost Tour is a walking, 90-minute tour. The tour path will head west on Front St, South on Union St, and the tour includes a short ghost hunt at Hannah Park. You will walk about 1.5 miles so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Tours are at select days and times. Fun Halloween things to do in Michigan!

Fort Fright - Lanterns light your way through an 18th-century fort and fur trading village overrun by werewolves, witches, goblins and ghouls. Storytellers weave spooky folktales near bonfires and treats such as hot mulled cider, cookies and candy can be found throughout the site. Most stops are suitable for all ages, but a haunted house, demon walk and werewolf walk will give thrills and chills to adults and children alike.

• Boo at the Zoo - October 10-11, 17-18, and 24-25, 2026 from noon – 5 p.m at Potter Park Zoo Boo! Get ready for an event full of colors, costumes, candy, and more! Gather the family, put on your best Halloween costumes, and come on out for a seasonal stroll through Potter Park Zoo. Beautiful autumn colors and décor will accompany you as you visit all of your favorite animals.

• Detroit Zoo Boo: October 3-4, 9-11, 16-18, and 23-25, 2025; 3-8:30 p.m. Explore the Zoo and experience festive pumpkin displays, strolling entertainment from jugglers and magicians! Visit all the trick-or-treating spots throughout the Zoo! The entire Zoo will be open, allowing you to visit your favorite animals. Special Halloween-themed enrichment activities will be taking place each day at various animal habitats!
