2. Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Fireworks Show

When: June 29 - July 4, 2023

Where: Battle Creek Executive Airport, right past Duncan Aviation.

Let me tell you, the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival is an incredible Michigan family-friendly event featuring a breathtaking air show, carnival rides, midway games, hot air balloons and FIREWORKS!

Chris and I absolutely love the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival and we have gone to this Independence Day event several times! Chris and I both worked at Duncan Aviation for several years and we never missed this show!

It's a not-to-miss event that happens every fourth of July holiday weekend in Battle Creek Michigan.

3. Grand Haven Fireworks 4th of July Schedule and Festivities

When: Saturday July 1, 2023, 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Where: Spectacular fireworks will follow the musical fountain on July 1st at the Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium.

Come to Grand Haven early to get a spot along the Grand River!  It's such a pretty area.

Then... enjoy watching a performance of the Musical Fountain as colorful jets of water splash and move to choreographed music. Such cheerful fourth of July festivities!  Right after the Musical Fountain's performance ends, the Grand Haven fireworks with begin, dazzling Grand Haven’s waterfront.


4. 2024 Bay City Fireworks Festival | 4th of July Weekend


When: July 4th, 5th & 6th 2024

Where: Wenonah Park and Veteran's Memorial Park, Bay City Michigan

5. Frankenmuth Volksläufe Fireworks

Watch the Frankenmuth Fireworks to celebrate Independence Day! 

What time is fireworks in Frankenmuth? July 3rd around 9:30PM, the show lasts for 20 minutes and you can enjoy it throughout this lovely Bavarian village.

Where are the fireworks in Frankenmuth Michigan? Frankenmuth Fireworks will be launched from Heritage Park. 

Location: The best place to watch the Frankenmuth Fireworks is from Heritage Park located at 601 Weiss St. Frankenmuth, MI 

No cost. 


6. White Lake Area 4th of July Parade & Fireworks

When: July 4, 2023, 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Where: Downtown Montague or Whitehall are great spots to enjoy the Fireworks Display at dusk.

Join us for free community fireworks over White Lake on the 4th of July!

  • Come into town earlier to watch the 4th of July Parade procession from Whitehall City Hall to Montague City Hall at 10 a.m

7. Mackinac Island 4th of July Fireworks - All-American Independence Day Celebration!


Does Mackinac Island have fireworks on the 4th of July? Yes!  There will be two Michigan fireworks displays on Mackinac Island at dusk on the 4th of July!

Can you see fireworks on Mackinac Island? Yes!  We can't wait to go!

What time are the fireworks on Mackinac Island? Fireworks begin at Dusk, around 10:00 pm. 

4th of July festivities begin early in the day with a Stoneskipping Competition at Windermere Point that begins at 10:00 am. Come see professional stone skippers as they bring their best skipping skills and compete for a trophy! Then keep your eyes trained on the night sky for incredible dazzling fireworks!

8. St Joseph Fireworks | One of the Best Michigan Fireworks Displays!


St Joseph Fireworks:

When: Wednesday, July 3, 2024 - 10:15pm

Where: Silver Beach, St. Joseph Michigan

I grew up in St. Joseph and every 4th of July we would spend the day at the beach, gorge on Silver Beach Pizza (located across from the carousel near the beach) and then hunker in sand until fireworks began at dusk. 

St. Joseph fireworks launch is timed for 10 pm, with an estimated 22-minute show.

The Independence Day fireworks will launch from the south pier.  Portions of Silver Beach and Tiscornia Beach, as well as the North and South Piers, will be closed to provide the required safety zone.

9. South Haven Fireworks: Light Up The Lake Fireworks


South Haven Fireworks:

When: July 3, 2024 at 10:20 pm - 10:42pm

Where: Fireworks are released off North Pier. See awesome fireworks over Lake Michigan!

For the past 15 years, Chris and I have attended the South Haven fireworks, so we know a thing or two about this awesome Michigan fireworks show.  


10. Holland Michigan Fireworks: Independence Day Fireworks

2023 Firework celebration in Holland Michigan!

When: Watch the Independence Day celebration fireworks on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Fireworks begin around dusk.

Where: Fireworks will be over Lake Macatawa. Best viewing spot is at Kollen Park.

Beechwood Grill and various fair-style food will be available from noon - 10pm.  Free! 


11. Traverse City Fireworks During the National Cherry Festival


For one heck of an Independence Day Celebration, come to Traverse City Michigan during their famous National Cherry Festival! It's several days of cherry events, live music, food vendors, contests, midway games, kids events, carnival rides, live entertainment, tours, big name concerts and fun for the whole family!  

  • Fireworks: July 8, 2023 at West Grand Traverse Bay from 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM. Watch from Open Space Park.


12. Amway Family Fireworks - Grand Rapids

When: July 1, 2023, 6pm – 11pm

Where: Ah-Nab-Awen Park
Downtown Grand Rapids

This Independence Day, come to downtown Grand Rapid's Ah-Nab-Awen Park for music, fireworks and fun!  Bring a blanket to spread on bank of the Grand River.  Come a bit early to enjoy children’s activities, food vendors and live entertainment and music that begins at 6:00 pm and continues until the fireworks display begins.

Then at dusk, be ready for some incredible pyrotechnics as these Michigan fireworks displays sparkle off the tall glass buildings along the Grand River. 


13. 4th of July Festival - Boyne City

When: July 2-4, 2023

Where: Boyne City, Michigan

July 2, 2023: Be sure to see the Patriotic Boat Parade from 12pm - 1:30pm!  

July 3, 2023: 10am - 5pm: 48th Annual Waterside Art & Craft Fair + Food Trucks, bounce houses and more!

July 4, 2023 is jam packed! There's a morning run, 10am Grand Parade, Art & Craft Fair + Food Trucks, live music, BBQ, and the grand Finale...10:30pm: GRAND FIREWORKS will be presented over Lake Charlevoix​. 


14. Midland Michigan Fireworks Displays

When: July 4, 2024

Where can I watch fireworks in Midland MI? Dow Diamond, Midland Michigan

Come to Midland Michigan to celebrate the 4th of July with incredible Michigan fireworks displays!  Beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Dow Diamond Lawn, enjoy live music, food trucks and fun!  Bring your friends, family, lawn chairs and blankets to this fun family-friendly event this summer!

At dusk (about 10:00 pm), Midland's annual fireworks display with splash glittering colors across the sky!  

The fireworks will be launched from the St. Charles Softball Diamonds. 

Where to See Midland's Fireworks:

  • Outside grounds of Dow Diamond
  • Founders Park
  • Whiting Overlook Park
  • Downtown locations.   


15. Cadillac Freedom Festival - Independence Day Celebration

Celebrate our nation’s freedom and independence along the shoreline of Lake Cadillac during Cadillac's annual Freedom Festival! There is so much going on, it's crazy!  

When: July 4-8, 2023

Where: Downtown Cadillac

Book your hotel and come to Cadillac for a great Independence Day Celebration!  There will be food, live music, car show, BBQ, a parade, 5k race and more over the course of several days. There will be a shuttle from several locations taking you to the event. Check the Freedom Festival Facebook page for more info!

The Cadillac Freedom Festival's grand finale is the incredible fireworks display directly over beautiful Lake Cadillac! Tune into 1079 CDY for an enhanced experience!
