AND it's all housed in a jaw droppingly beautiful architectural marvel!
SOUNDS AMAZING? Then you need to visit the Detroit Institute of Arts!
Chris and I decided to venture to the Detroit Institute of Arts to check out their famed exhibits, exquisite murals and stunning architecture. Here's what we discovered!
The exquisite murals are one of the highlights of the Detroit Art Museum. They are two stories high and really pack an impact!

- The Detroit Institute of Arts' collection is among the top six museums in the United States with an encyclopedic collection which spans the globe from ancient Egyptian and European works to contemporary art.
- The Detroit Institute of Arts, located in Midtown Detroit, Michigan, features over 100 galleries!
- The museum covers 658,000 square feet with a major renovation and expansion project completed in 2007 that added 58,000 square feet.

So Many Things To See at the Detroit Art Museum!
There's mummies, ancient pottery, sculptures, stained glass and even a chapel from Chateau de Lannoy from 1522-1524! You definitely don't want to miss that!!
Oh! And There's a Cafe!!
Did we fail to mention the Detroit Art Museum also has the fabulous indoor cafe? Doesn't this place just make you want to curl up with a good book, a hot coffee and just hang out?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
