Are you ready to check out it? Let's go!

Where is the Inn at Bay Harbor Located?

The Inn, located at 3600 Village Harbor Dr, Bay Harbor, Michigan is a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel.  The Inn is located directly on the sparkling shores of Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay.

And I don't mean across the road....the Inn is right on Lake Michigan. You can't get any closer than that! Chris and I were just enamored with the views!

The Inn at Bay Harbor is very close to downtown Petoskey and the Petoskey State Park. So if you are visiting Petoskey and wish to stay in a luxurious Inn and Spa, definitely consider the Inn at Bay Harbor.

So....

You could spend a couple days at Mackinac Island and then head to The Inn for a spa afternoon, round of golf and phenomenal dinner at the Vintage Chophouse (located inside the Inn).

It's the perfect Michigan vacation spot!

This chandelier is absolutely breathtaking and the first thing you see upon entering the Inn.  I enquired about getting one for my office but thought better of it as I might bump my head. lol

Comfortable couches, chairs and huge fireplace in the lobby lounge area is an ideal cozy place to read, relax and chat with friends. I couldn't resist grabbing a book and relaxing a bit after dinner!

Let's talk about the amenities at the Inn at Bay Harbor!

The Inn at Bay Harbor Spa

The serene and elegant Spa at the Inn of Bay Harbor is an aaaahhh-mazing way to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.  Our golfing friends like to book a massage at the Spa prior to teeing off at the Bay Harbor Golf Club to warm up their muscles.

  • You can book facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing and aromatherapy body treatments.

Chris and I wanted some quiet time together after a busy week so I booked our very first Couples Massage upon arrival at the hotel (gotta start relaxing immediately on our Michigan getaway, right?)

And holy moly, it was fantastic.

The massage room was comfortable, softly lit, serene and relaxing. Our tight muscles were worked out and our stress melted away as we enjoyed warm towels, luscious scents and soothing music.

You will love the changing rooms with lockers (and provided locks), shower, luscious robes, soft slippers and lotions if you need it.

Plus, the Spa has super cute clothing, jewelry, products and gifts.

In-House Dining: Delicious Waterfront Choices!

  • Dine at the Vintage Chophouse with breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay. Try the Red Wine Brazed Short Ribs paired with their roasted asparagus for a meal you won't forget. Get reservations!
  • The Sagamore Room is the go-to spot for delicious breakfasts each morning of your stay.  Chris and I enjoyed two mornings of freshly made-to-order omelets, fresh cut fruit, toast, scrambled eggs, freakin' awesome sausages and pretty much anything else you could want on their breakfast buffet. No reservations needed (at least while we were there!) Oh, and the view of Little Traverse Bay is stunning!

Inn at Bay Harbor Cottages

The Inn at Bay Harbor offers these incredible two to three bedroom cottages that offer space and privacy for families, groups, and couples looking for extra room to stretch out. They are located right along Lake Michigan so the views are incredible for your family's next Michigan vacation!

Located right next to the Inn, you can also enjoy all the luxury amenities of the Inn - so don't worry, you won't miss out!

Top 5 Things to Do at (or near) the Inn at Bay Harbor

1. Enjoy an incredibly scenic round of golf at the nearby Bay Harbor Golf Club!

Aren't these views of Lake Michigan fantastic? The golf club is open to the public and offer incredible views, clubhouse and greens. Book your tee time early!

2. Rent Ebikes!

Hop on an E-bike (rent at the front desk) to explore the marina and nearby area! I was really excited to try E-bikes, it was our first time!

The bikes are very easy to ride, but I recommend getting a feel for them in the parking lot before you leave. The bikes assist you up hills and along pathways but you still have to peddle a bit.

You can also take a spin on a traditional cruisers that are included with your stay at the resort (no extra charge).

We rode along the Little Traverse Wheelway which is a paved path perfect for walking, jogging and bike riding.  This path extends east and west from the Inn at Bay Harbor's front door.

Yep, another selfie!

Bike to the Bay Harbor Lake Marina! Grab lunch at the Knot Just a Bar very close by at the marina (see the map above).  I'm a sucker for marinas so we always have to check them out!

3. Enjoy pampering at the in-house Spa

(Chris and I love the couples massages!) Manicures, pedicures and facials are also offered!

4. Search for cool fossils!

See how many fossils you can find along the beautiful Little Traverse Bay shoreline right at the Inn at Bay Harbor!

5. Relax in a hammock or Adirondack chair along the shore

This was one of our favorite activities as you can relax while listening to the incredible soothing sounds of Lake Michigan's waves crashing against the rocks just steps from your room at the Inn at Bay Harbor.

Book Your Stay!

The Inn books up rather quickly for the summer months, so be sure to book your room early!

You will love it, we promise!

Inn at Bay Harbor Rooms

From the moment you step in your room, you can feel the "relaxation mode" has been switched ON.

The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. Our room had a bar with a sink and refrigerator.

How thoughtful and yummy is a small box of Kilwins treats!? We loved it!

Not going to lie, the first thing I did upon stepping foot into our luxury room was run to the sliding glass door for a quick peek off the balcony.  I mean seriously, you can't beat a room with a view of sparkling Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay!

This view....

Can't you feel the stress of the day melting away?

The sunsets are just spectacular over Little Traverse Bay.

I mean seriously, look at that!!

We enjoyed the balcony all evening long while lounging in these lovely white chairs.  (I might have put on my pj's half way through since no one else was out there, lol...)

BUT...at the end of the day, jammies were on and it was time to watch Star Wars (yep, we are geeks!) with a couple glasses of wine from the bar downstairs.

What a perfect long weekend! Are you ready for your exquisite Michigan getaway?
