As a Michigander, I have a special place in my heart for one of Michigan's most celebrated annual events: Tulip Time Day 1. Along with Chris, I eagerly anticipate this festival each year and never miss the opportunity to attend.
We both have a deep passion for photography, and there's no better canvas than the mesmerizing sea of tulips and the quaint cityscape of Holland, Michigan.
Immersing ourselves in the beauty of Southwest Michigan during this time has become a cherished tradition. We also consider this one of America’s Best Small Town Festivals!
Did you know? Holland Michigan Tulip Time was named Flower Festival of the Year for 2023 by the International Garden Tourism Conference.
The festival is the first winner of the award, which was presented to Tulip Time's Executive Director, Gwen Auwerda on November 2, 2023 at the International Garden Tourism Conference in British Columbia, Canada.
“This recognition not only acknowledges our past achievements but also inspires us to continue pushing boundaries and striving for excellence,” Auwerda said.

getaway in scenic West Michigan! Visit Nelis' Dutch Village, check out Tunnel Park, go hiking at Holland State Park and stay at a fun hotel such as the ultra modern, Tulyp, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. So many fun things to do!
