Memorial Day is a day to remember American men and women who died in military service. Chris and I firmly believe it is important to focus on those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom in this great country. My dad served in the military and both of Chris' grandfathers also served. We thank all of you.

When: Friday, May 24, 2024 | 12:00pm - 1:00pm.
Where: The parade will begin at the intersection of Lake Blvd. and Park St. in St. Joseph, MI
Come out to honor veterans who have served this great country and remember those who have sacrificed their lives to protect our freedom at the annual Memorial Day Parade. I have personally attended this parade several times and highly recommend it. While living in St. Joseph it was one of my favorite things to do on Memorial Day.

2024 Frankenmuth Memorial Day Weekend | Frankenmuth Dog Bowl and Balloons over Bavarian Inn
There are two Memorial Day Weekend events in Frankenmuth in 2024. These are super fun family-friendly events that Chris and I have personally attended and love them both. If you love photography, you'll love capturing the dogs in mid jump and the balloons just as they lift off the ground!
Expert Tip: Get to Frankenmuth early in the day as parking will be tricky later in the afternoon.
Frankenmuth Dog Bowl
Frankenmuth Dog Bowl - The FREE two-day family event takes place Memorial Day weekend.
When: May 25 and 26, 2024
Where: River Place Shops, 925 S Main St, Frankenmuth, MI 48734
Come see the "world’s largest Olympic-style festival for dogs!" There will be dock and disc dog competitions, super cute wiener dog races, a fun pet costume parade and lots of fun things to do in Frankenmuth.

- Nightly Balloon Glow: 9:00 to 10:00 PM at River Place Shops Field – See 25+ tethered hot air balloons glowing in the night sky!

Expert Tip: We recommend arriving early, having a late dinner and then enjoying the Balloon Glow as parking will get tricker closer to the Glow time.

Holland Memorial Day Parade
When: May 27, 2024 at 9:30am
Where: The Holland Memorial Day Parade begins at 8th and Central. The parade will continue along Columbia Ave, and concludes at the Pilgrim Home Cemetery (370 E 16th St, Holland, MI).
11:00 AM will be a program of remembrance and music in the Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
2024 Fort Michilimackinac Historical Reenactment Pageant | Top Memorial Weekend Events in Michigan
Fort Michilimackinac Historical Reenactment Pageant -Memorial Day Weekend is the longest running free Memorial Day historical program in U.S. in Mackinaw City.
When: May 27, 2024 at 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Where: Colonial Michilimackinac, 800 N Huron Ave, Mackinaw City, MI 49701
The Fort Michilimackinac Reenactment historical event is a reenactment of the events that happened between the French, British and Native tribes of the Straits Area on June 2, 1763. Presented by a Mackinaw City community group.
Admission to the reenactment is free but if you wish to tour Colonial Michilimackinac you will need to buy an admission ticket.
2024 Mackinaw City Memorial Parade
When: Saturday, Memorial Weekend at 1pm.
Where: Downtown Mackinaw City
