Detroit knows how to celebrate everything Irish this St. Patrick's Day! Besides, everyone is a bit Irish in March, so grab a pint of Guinness or dress in all green and white as you wave an Irish flag at the parade or fun event!


2024 Detroit St Patricks Day Parade

When: March 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm.

Where: Michigan Central, 2001 15th St, Detroit, MI

Come on out to Motor City to see one of the biggest Irish celebrations in the US, attracting around 100 thousand visitors annually.

The Parade is a celebration of all things Irish! Enjoy marching bands, pipe & drum bands, color guards, bright floats, Irish clowns, with lots of live entertainment and music! 

Parade Route: The parade begins at 6th Street and Michigan Ave then moves west on Michigan Ave., passes the reviewing stand and disperses at 14th Street, approximately 2 hours later. See our map below of the Detroit St Patrick's Day Parade route.

What To Budget

Budgeting is always a hard one to predict as it depends on how frugal or spendy you want to be.

The Detroit St Patricks Day Parade is free!  The pub crawls start around $20 and of course you can spend way more on VIP experiences, meals, travel and hotels. 

O'Connor's Public House meals are around $14-$19 dollars and of course there's drinks and dessert to consider.
