What is the oldest county fair in Michigan?

Do you guys have any idea of the oldest fair in the state? It would be fun to see more fairs this summer. Thanks!

Answer

Hi Adrian,

We are planning to get out and see more fairs this late summer/fall too. The Calhoun County Fair in Marshall, Michigan is Michigan's oldest continuous running fair. Per Wikipedia, the Calhoun County Fair was first held in 1839. Cool, huh!

See our HUGE list of fairs and carnivals in Michigan: 2022 Michigan Fairs: The Big List of County and State Fairs, Carnivals, Festivals and Renaissance Fests!
