Chris and I enjoy seeing live nativities each Christmas. We found several live nativities all across Michigan for you to enjoy!  Merry Christmas, Everyone!

1. Flushing's Annual Candlewalk and Live Nativity

Come on out for Flushing's Annual Candlewalk for a Live Nativity by Mayfair Bible Church!  Enjoy seeing Bible characters and live camels!

Where: Downtown Flushing, Michigan

When: December 1 and 2, 2022, 6:00-9:00pm.


2. Immanuel Ev Lutheran Church's Live Nativity

Where: Immanuel Lutheran Church of Frankentrost, 8220 Holland Road, (M-46) Saginaw, MI 48601

Friday, December 2, 2022: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 3, 2022: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Travel to the ancient town of Bethlehem to pay your taxes and be counted in the Roman census. Hear the shepherds talk about the angels’ proclamation. Listen to the prophet talk of signs and wonders. Enjoy the city alive with activity and no room at the inn. Avoid the anger of the Roman soldiers and tax collectors. See the babe asleep in a manger. 3. Faith Lutheran Church Live Nativity Drive Through

Where: Faith Lutheran Church, 1402 E Preston, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858

When: December 10, 2022, 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Faith Lutheran Church is presenting the true meaning of Christmas by hosting their live nativity scene with live animals.  This is a "drive through" event. 


4. Living Christmas at Brighton Assembly of God

Where: Brighton Assembly of God, US-23 at Lee Road Exit. Follow the search lights!

When: December 2, 3, 4, 2022, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm each night. 

FREE drive-thru for the whole family! There will be FREE hot cocoa & cookies and pizza & beverages will be available to purchase.


5. Star of Wonder: Live Drive Thru Nativity

Where: CranHill, 14444 17 Mile Rd. Rodney, MI 49342

When: December 2, 3, & 4, 2022 Time: 6:00pm –8:30pm each night 

This Christmas, see the story of Jesus’ birth come to life at CranHill’s Star of Wonder: Journey to the Manger. This drive-thru LIVE nativity is complete with actors, animals, lights, and narration. FREE event! Remember the true story of Christmas! Donations will be accepted to support CranHill’s Camper Scholarship Fund.


6. Walk Through Bethlehem This Christmas!

Where: South Side Baptist Tabernacle, 6710 Textile Road, Ypsilanti, MI

When: December 10, December 16 and December 17, 2022, 6:30-9:30 pm. 

Step back in time! Immersive tour through the town of Bethlehem at the time of Christ. Interact with merchants, make a craft, witness the unfolding of a miraculous birth that changed history. 

After you walk, enjoy hot chocolate and a warm campfire. 


7. Living Nativity at Grace Lutheran Church 

Where: Grace Lutheran Church, 404 Glenlord Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085

When: December 18, 2022, 6:00-7:30 pm

Walk through a live storytelling of the celebration of Jesus Christ and his birth. Register on line for a timeslot! Walk-ins are also welcome. 


8. Woodside Bible Church - Troy Campus

Where: 6600 Rochester Road, Troy, MI, 48085

When: December 8, 9, 10 and 11, 2022. Save your spot at one of their  performances happening one weekend only!  

This December, enjoy one of Woodside’s favorite Christmas traditions: The Nativity! At Nativity, you’ll experience an on-stage retelling of the Biblical Christmas story. Through storytelling, acting, music, and more you’ll be reminded of the true joy of Christmas. 

There's also outside fun-filled Christmas activities including their Nativity marketplace with local vendors, Christmas lights filling Woodside’s grounds, crafts for kids, a petting zoo, hot cocoa and donuts, a sledding hill and so much more. This will be a memorable and fun experience for the whole family!


9. Bay Shore Camp and Family Ministries Living Nativity

When: December 3, 2022, 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Festivities begin at 5:00 pm

10. Light Up Shrine!

Where: National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, 2100 W. 12 Mile Road, Royal Oak, MI 48073-3910

When: Saturday, December 3, 2022, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Horse drawn wagon rides, live nativity, hot chocolate, hot dogs, drinks, crafts, choir, and more! 


11. Monroe's Tree Lighting + Live Nativity

Where: Loranger Square for the annual Monroe Hometown Tree Lighting! 

When: Friday, November 18th - 2022, 4:00PM to 9:00PM. Tree will be lit at 7pm sharp! 

Activities include: Vintage Market vendors (4:00 PM - 9:00 PM), Visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus in the Childrens' Activities Area (5:30 PM - 8:30 PM),  Live Reindeer (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM), Horse and wagon rides (5:30 PM - 8:30 PM) and Live Nativity courtesy of Heritage Baptist Church (5:00 PM - 8:30 PM) and more!


12. Christmas Caravan at Grace Point Evangelical Free Church

At Christmas Caravan, you'll go back in time to experience the sights, sounds, and scenes of the very first Christmas. Come on out anytime as the caravan leaves every 15 minutes! 

This free outdoor experience for the whole family includes many performers, live animals, music, cocoa, and holiday cookies.

Christmas Caravan is an interactive walk-through experience of the very first Christmas. Encounter the wonder and mystery of that incredible night and experience Heaven touching earth in a humble stable.

13. Somerset Beach Campground and Retreat Center's Drive-Through Live Nativity

When: December 2 and December 3, 2022

At Somerset Beach, watch the story of Christmas come alive with a living re-enactment of the story of the birth of Christ.  This is a drive through live nativity.  Somerset Beach Campground with provide a snack, narration and a map, and your family can visit each scene as you drive through.

Go back in time to that sleepy little village in Nazareth and experience the wonderful story of Christmas.

Our drive-thru Living Nativity will be open from 7:00 - 9:00 PM each night.

There is no cost for this activity, but a box for donations will be available.


14. HorsePlay Equestrian’s Live Nativity

Where: Horseplay Equestrian, 8966 76th Ave Hudsonville, Mi 49426

When: Friday, December 16th, 2022, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Bring your whole family and experience the story of Jesus. We invite you to come and see why He came, how he came, and why it matters.

The half hour show will begin at 6:00 PM. With multiple showings as needed. Enjoy animals in the Candy Cane Corral, doughnuts and refreshments in the Peppermint Cafe, decorate cookies in the Cookie Cottage, and SOO much more!

16. Jenison Bible Church's Christ is Born

This Christmas season Jenison Bible Church invites you to an indoor visual and dramatic presentation.  Free admission, but you will need to register as seating is limited for each performance.‍

17. Hometown Holiday | Live Nativity in Chelsea

Unfortunately, the December 2, 2022 event has been cancelled this year, let's see them in 2023! 

The Live Nativity is a beloved annual tradition of the Hometown Holiday events.

Join live actors, singers, musicians and animals perform a living re-enactment of the story of the birth of Christ.

There are 2 performances: December 2, 2022, 6:30 pm and 7:00pm at Chelsea’s Palmer Commons.
